LIC MD and CEO R. According to Doraiswamy, the company’s focus will be on pure term insurance, non-par savings products and annuity business. The new pure term insurance plan launched in September has received a good response.
In the last few days of its launch, more than 58,000 policies were sold under this plan. The company believes that as the market conditions improve, the demand for Unit Linked Insurance Plan (ULIP) may also improve.
LIC’s Q2 results show better premium income and improved new business margins. However, personal policy sales also recorded a decline of 2.25% in the first half. In such a situation, investors will keep an eye on the sales, premium growth and profits of the company’s new policies in the coming times.
