Sonipat : Gangster Sandeep alias Kala Jathedi , currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail , was on Sunday brought to his native Jathedi village on parole to attend the naming ceremony of his twin daughters. As soon as Jathedi arrived in the village, a large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of him. Drums and traditional band music were played during his arrival.
As Kala Jathedi stepped out of the police vehicle, he waved at the people gathered outside before being escorted inside his house amid tight security. According to information shared by his wife Anuradha Chaudhary , the family had sought custody parole so that Jathedi could participate in the naming ceremony and other religious rituals for their daughters.
As per sources, the twins were born through an IVF procedure, and Anuradha underwent a Caesarean delivery after complications during childbirth. Given Jathedi’s presence, extensive security arrangements were put in place in the village. A three-tier security cordon was established around the residence, with personnel deployed at strategic points.
Visitors and family members entering the premises were subjected to security checks and identity verification. Access to the room where Jathedi met Anuradha and their daughters was also strictly regulated.
Police spokesperson ASI Ravinder Singh said Delhi Police had written to Sonipat Police seeking security arrangements for Jathedi’s visit. After the completion of the naming ceremony and other rituals, Delhi Police took Kala Jathedi back to Tihar Jail. Jathedi has several criminal cases registered against him in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, including cases related to murder, attempt to murder, extortion and other serious offences. He was arrested in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on July 30, 2021.
