Former Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik has given a statement regarding Jasprit Bumrah. He says that Team India has been playing a lot of cricket for some time now. Because of this, players like Jasprit Bumrah play only important matches. For example, if the ODI World Cup is about to come, then he will be seen playing only ODI matches. BCCI has announced the squad for the T-20 series, which does not include Jasprit Bumrah.

Dinesh Karthik said, “I think that's what's been happening with India for quite some time now. They play a lot of cricket and that's why you see players like Bumrah. If it's a World Cup year and it's an ODI World Cup, they'll play ODIs.”

That's why you see them playing more and more Test cricket, but players like Bumrah will also soon understand and decide whether they want to continue playing Test cricket because whether the toll it takes on their body is worth it or not, that will be a big decision for them.”

BCCI has announced the Indian squad for the 3-match T20 series to be played with Afghanistan. Jasprit Bumrah has been included in this series starting from September 13, but there is a star symbol in front of his name, which means that the decision on his playing will be based on fitness. During the England tour, he suffered an impact injury on his left knee while fielding in an ODI match. Since then he is struggling with this injury.
