DU UG Admission 2026: Delhi University (DU) has once again increased the admission option for undergraduate i.e. UG admission on the basis of 12th class marks. According to the information released by the admission branch of the university, now in some more colleges, admissions have been started on the basis of merit of 12th marks instead of CUET. To get admission in these courses, students will have to fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the concerned college. Eligible students will be given admission through merit on the basis of marks obtained in class 12th.

This decision of DU may provide relief to those students who have not been able to take admission in DU through CUET. Such students will now be able to apply for available seats in those colleges and courses where admission system has been started on the basis of 12th marks. Delhi University has included a total of 15 colleges in the list for UG admission on the basis of 12th marks. In these colleges, the way for admission to various undergraduate courses to arts, science and languages ​​has been opened. The university has advised students to visit the official website of the concerned college for detailed information about eligibility, seats and application process to admission.

Prominent colleges included in the first list include Deshbandhu College, Dayal Singh Evening College, Institute of Home Economics, Kalindi College, Laxmibai College, Maharaja Agrasen College, Mata Sundari College for Women, PGDAV College and Rajdhani College. In some prescribed courses of these colleges, eligible students will be given admission on merit basis on the basis of class 12th marks instead of CUET score.

In 15 colleges of Delhi University, the option of UG admission has been given on the basis of class 12th marks. These include many courses to Science, Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, Mathematics and other subjects. Deshbandhu College has the option of admission to B.Sc program Applied Physical Sciences with Industrial Chemistry and B.Sc program Physical Sciences with Chemistry with BA Hons Sanskrit. Dayal Singh Evening College has opportunities for admission to BA programs in subjects like Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, English, Sanskrit, History and Political Science.

Whereas in the Institute of Home Economics, admission will be given for B.Sc Honors and B.Sc program Home Science. Kalindi College has the option of admission to B.Sc Hons Mathematics. Lakshmibai College has BA programs in various subjects including Sanskrit, Sociology, Punjabi, Political Science, History, Music, Computer Applications, Mathematics, Community Science and Philosophy. Apart from this, there is also an option for admission in BA Honors Hindi and B.Sc Honors Home Science.

Mata Sundari College for Women offers admission in BA Honors Hindi, Punjabi, Sanskrit and Philosophy. Whereas in PGDAV College, admission will be taken for BA Honors Hindi and Sanskrit. Rajdhani College has admission options for B.Sc. Honors Electronics, B.Sc. Program Physical Science with Electronics and BA Honors Hindi. Apart from this, admission will be given in B.Sc program Physical Science with Chemistry, B.Sc Honors Electronics and BA Honors Hindi in Maharaja Agrasen College. Students desirous of taking admission in these courses have been advised to check the eligibility criteria and admission process prescribed by the concerned college on the website of the college.

6 more colleges included in the second phase of DU

Delhi University has included six more colleges in the second phase of the UG admission process based on Class 12 marks. These include Satyavati College, Satyavati College (Evening), Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, Sri Aurobindo College, Swami Shraddhanand College and Zakir Hussain Delhi College. Satyawati College offers admission option to various BA courses to Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, History, Mathematics and Urdu-Political Science. Whereas in Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, there is an opportunity for admission in science subjects like Electronics, Instrumentation, Physics and Chemistry.

In Sri Aurobindo College, admission will be given in BA program to Physical Science with Chemistry, BA Honors Hindi with Sanskrit-History and Sanskrit-Political Science. At the same time, in Swami Shraddhanand College, apart from Hindi, Chemistry, Physics, Life Science and Physical Science with Chemistry, the option of admission has been made available in many graduate programs to Economics, History, Mathematics, Sanskrit and Political Science.
