Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Saturday stated that the Central government is actively working to accelerate recruitment processes across various sectors to provide employment opportunities to the youth, in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's directives.

"We are trying to actively accelerate the government recruitment process across various government sectors to provide employment to the youth as per the PM's directives. Rozgar Melas are organised every one to three months, where the Prime Minister virtually distributes recruitment letters," Reddy told ANI
The Minister further stated that the Union government is looking for ways to generate employment opportunities for the youth across various sectors of the economy. "The government is committed to increasing opportunities for youth in startup companies, the private sector, and the government sector. These programs have been consistently held across India since 2022, aiming to provide employment to lakhs of people," he added.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hailed the growing culture of self-employment and entrepreneurship in the country, noting the involvement of a large number of youth from tier-1 and tier-2 cities, and women.
Addressing the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela, PM Modi said that India has become the third-largest startup ecosystem globally. He affirmed that the change is visible in the country's tier-1 and tier-2 cities and not just the big cities. "In the last few years, a new culture of self-employment and entrepreneurship has developed in the country. India is the 3rd-largest startup ecosystem in the world. There are over 2,30,000 recognised startups in the country... this change is not limited to big cities. These days, a large number of young people from tier-2 and tier-2 cities are also demonstrating their strength... The role of women's power is also continuously increasing in this change," he said.
He further asserted that India's youth are making a significant mark across every global field, noting that their vibrant spirit and dynamic energy must now be deeply integrated into the nation's public services. "Today, India's youth are making their mark in every field of the world. This same spirit, this same energy should be reflected in public service as well. India will be developed through the efforts of such youth, who consider their work a means of serving the nation and the people... I am fully confident that the youth who received their appointment letters today will give new impetus to India's development journey," he said.
