On allegations of displacement or endangerment of tribal communities due to the project, the government insisted that Jarawa Policy 2004 And Shompen Policy 2015 is being strictly followed. An Empowered Committee of experts is continuously monitoring the situation to ensure that the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) are not affected. ‘No Objection Certificate’ has already been received from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the conditions of the Forest Rights Act 2006 have also been fully implemented.
