In today’s day and age, online privacy means very little. Virat Kohli found himself being exposed after fans spotted that he liked a photo of a model, Liz Laz, on Instagram. This came as terribly concerning because not only is he married to Anushka Sharma, but he’s also done this before.

To the fans, it did not look good for one half of Virushka publicly liking the photo of another woman, and it only reminded them of his past. However, the model broke her silence on the matter.

Speaking with Hindustan Times, LizLaz gave her reaction on how she was bombarded with controversy on a random Friday. The moment she woke up, the first thing she saw was a problem she knew nothing about. She hadn’t even realised that Virat Kohli liked her photo.

“It was crazy because I woke up and then I was all over the news... I don’t even know when he liked the picture, I learnt through the news. So many people found the articles done on me on many different platforms and sent them to me in my DMs. I got so many messages today, people were super excited about it.”

Despite being a fan of the cricketer, she couldn’t get him out of the controversy. “No, I felt a bit sorry for him, actually! I was so happy that he liked it, but then him unliking it, I felt a bit bad for him because I don't even know how it became such a big story. How did people notice, how did they make it news… that was probably not his intention behind it, but still I am grateful for it, and I appreciate the support from him.”

She tried to defend Kohli, stating that him liking and then unliking the picture was probably being blown out of proportion. The intentions behind his action may not have been as problematic as fans made them out to be. She genuinely felt bad because of how bad things had gotten due to a simple act. The cricketer himself is yet to comment on the matter.
