Superstar Akshay Kumar's film *Bhoot Bangla* has finally arrived in theaters. The film has been directed by Priyadarshan. For years, fans have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see a film featuring this duo on the big screen—a wait that has finally ended with the release of *Bhoot Bangla*. Belonging to the horror-comedy genre, the film has garnered positive reviews from critics as well.

*Bhoot Bangla* has received an overwhelming response from audiences. Notably, and true to expectations, the film has made a strong start at the box office. Akshay Kumar's horror-comedy opened its account with double-digit figures, and on its very first day, it has already outperformed *Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2*.

According to the trade website Sacnilk, *Bhoot Bangla* achieved an impressive collection of ₹15.75 crore on its opening day. It is worth noting that this figure represents an early estimate, and the actual earnings may undergo slight adjustments once the official data is released. On its opening day, the film sold approximately 130,000 tickets.

According to reports, the film generated a gross collection of ₹3.32 crore solely through domestic bookings for its first day. Furthermore, Thursday proved to be a particularly lucky day for the film, as it raked in ₹3.50 crore through paid previews. Given the immense buzz surrounding *Bhoot Bangla*, it appears poised to set several new records in the days to come.

With this spectacular start, the film's total gross collection in India has reached ₹18.90 crore. Interestingly, this Akshay Kumar starrer has surpassed the opening-day record previously held by Kartik Aaryan's *Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2*, which had earned ₹14.50 crore in 2022.

However, when it comes to the all-time biggest records within the horror-comedy genre, *Bhoot Bangla* still faces significant challenges ahead. Maddock Films' *Stree 2* raked in ₹55 crore, while *Thama* earned ₹24 crore, securing the first and second spots on this list, respectively.

Directed by Priyadarshan, this film marks his theatrical comeback alongside Akshay Kumar after a hiatus of over a decade. Previously, this duo has delivered stellar films such as *Hera Pheri*, *Garam Masala*, *Bhagam Bhag*, *Bhool Bhulaiyaa*, *De Dana Dan*, and *Khatta Meetha*.

Notably, the film *Bhoot Bangla* features a star-studded cast alongside Akshay Kumar, including Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Jisshu Sengupta. The film has been produced under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films. The budget for Akshay Kumar's film is reported to be approximately ₹120 crore.
