BCCI Central Contract 2025-26 : BCCI may soon issue the central contract for the 2025-26 season. As per the recommendations of the national selectors, 30 Indian players will be given central contracts for the 2025-26 season. In which veteran players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli can be demoted from A grade to B grade. This time only three players are likely to get A grade central contract.

According to media reports, BCCI will give Grade A central contracts to India’s leading fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill and experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for the 2025-26 season. Former captains Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were earlier in the A+ category. Now they have been put in B category, because both these players have retired from Test and T20I and play only ODI. Bumrah, who plays all formats, and Jadeja, who is available in ODI-Test, were also in A+ grade.

For Gill, retaining the A category of the central contract is a big relief, especially after being dropped from India’s T20 squad just ahead of the T20 World Cup at home in 2026. According to reports, the Ajit Agarkar-led National Selection Committee had proposed to scrap the prestigious Grade A+ category, which was introduced in 2018.

Grade C: Akshar Patel, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dubey, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Dhruv Jurel, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakraborty, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Sai Sudarshan, Ravi Bishnoi, Ruturaj Gaikwad.
